Renewable energy is to reduce the CO-2 emission in agriculture

Vennerslund Energy- and Nature Park has entered into a research collaboration with DTU link. The aim of the collaboration is to map out how the energy coming from wind turbines and solar cells can be used in order to change the agriculture at Vennerslund from diesel driven machines to an electrical driven agriculture.

The agricultural sector in Denmark contributes significantly to the emission of greenhouse gas. However, a new project will look into this, as Vennerslund Energy- and Nature Park and DTU Link has joined forces, including DTU Wind Energy in a project working towards reducing the emission of greenhouse gas and CO2.

Kim Brockenhuus-Schack from Vennerslund Energy- and Nature Park says:

“I am quite certain, that this project will make the entire sector for energy and clean technology look to Guldborgsund. The new production of knowledge will also be part of the story we want to be a part of together with the energy- and nature park, when we open up for visitors, tourists and educational institutions.”

The research collaboration with DTU has been made by DTU Link; an offer to small and medium sized companies in Region Sjælland.
